Absentee Ballots: Did You Know?
DID YOU KNOW If you receive an absentee ballot, you cannot change your mind and vote at the polls. Every election, we have several voters that decide they want to vote at the polls after receiving a ballot in the mail. This results in frustrated voters standing in a long line waiting to receive a replacement absentee ballot. If you don’t want to be an absentee voter, there is a form you are required to fill out to remove yourself from the list prior to being issued a ballot.

1) Please go to https://prodvoterportal.mt.gov or text “Vtr portal” to 406-792-7922 to see if you are an absentee voter.
2) Access the form at https://sosmt.gov/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php…
3) Print the form.
4) Fill out the top section and check the box at the bottom “Revert to non-absentee voter”, sign and date.
5) Return to the Clerk & Recorder election office.
THIS IS TIME SENSITIVE. If you want to be removed from the absentee list, please do this right away. Once you are issued a ballot, your status cannot be changed until the next election.
