Election Administrator Certified by Montana Secretary of State
In February, I spent several days in Helena attending the Montana Election Administration conference. Even though I have helped run our Butte-Silver Bow elections over the past 12 years, there is always more to learn. This year’s sessions did not disappoint.
Election administration is a very difficult job that involves a lot of activities-orchestration that must completely comply with federal and state law. There are only 3 people in Butte-Silver Bow that have been officially trained and election-admin-certified for current elections by the Montana Secretary of State office: the Clerk & Recorder, the Deputy Clerk & Recorder, and me, Cindy Sherman.
I am the only candidate who has the experience, training, and certification to comprehensively administrate our elections. This is critically important to our community and is one of the primary reasons why I am running for Clerk & Recorder.
It is no surprise that modern elections are highly contentious and are watched more closely than every before. It is critically important the the Election Administrator (a role of the the Clerk & Recorder) be aware of the law and the application of the law to our elections in Butte-Silver Bow. I am the only candidate who has the experience, training, and certification to comprehensively administrate our elections. This is critically important to our community and is one of the primary reasons why I am running for Clerk & Recorder. I have always striven to help keep BSB elections free, fair, and held to the letter of the law. Let’s continue to keep BSB’s elections in compliance with federal, state and local laws. You can trust my experience, diligence, and integrity with your elections. I appreciate your support and vote!
